PE Direct are so excited for Cardiff West Community High school. In a few weeks, they will be moving into their new £36 million site. We met Jo Howell, the business manager, last week and she very kindly took the time to show us around. It is absolutely fantastic and I am sure it will inspire the whole community including the teachers, students and parents to ‘raise the bar’ of achievement further.
I have had a lot to do with Cardiff West over the years, I have taught there myself and my wife has been teaching there for over twenty years and what has always been consistent is the incredibly high level of loyalty and commitment of the staff. I am confident that with the sense of well-being the new building inspires and the way the teaching facilities will raise aspirations of its students, Cardiff West will go from strength to strength.
On the topic of well-being, well done to Jo Howell for project managing the new build and paying attention to the smaller details such as the bold and cheerful colour scheme! PE Direct are excited about playing its part in continuing to raise standards in the new Cardiff West Community High school.
